Location in Turkey
The retreat is held at a picturesque location in Turkey, at the Atami Hotel (four stars) on the Bodrum Peninsula. This hotel has a unique location on Paradise Bay. It is both on the coast and immersed in nature. The views are spectacular; you have a view over the bay, with wooded mountains located across the clear blue water. It is an extremely peaceful setting, situated at three kilometres from Gölköy, the nearest town to the retreat. See the photos.
In your free time, you can take advantage of the many activities, either individually or in groups.
Free activities:
- Relaxing in a deck chair at the water’s edge. Beach towels are free for usage at the hotel.
- Swimming, either in the sea or in the pool.
- Snorkeling
- Reading (books are available at the hotel). The garden offers countless areas for peaceful solitude, if desired.
- Walks through the spectacular natural surroundings, to Gölköy (45 minutes), or to the further-on location of Türkbükü (the St Tropez of Turkey).
- Cycling (bike hire is free)
- Canoeing (canoe hire is free)
- Table tennis
- Billiards
Other options:
- Sailing (at the hotel)
- Windsurfing (at the hotel)
- In spring and autumn, a yoga teacher is often present. During these periods, you can pay to arrange private lessons in the afternoon.
- Visiting archaeological sites.
- Visiting Bodrum and other towns and villages. Activities here include visiting bazaars or Turkish baths, shopping, dining, or simply exploring the many streets and alleys.
- Participating in one of the various group excursions that the hotel staff can arrange upon demand.

Food
At the retreats in Turkey, you can request special diets. You can choose from normal, vegetarian and vegan cuisine. Indicate your culinary preferences upon booking.
Alternative rooms
During the retreat, you will stay in a standard double room with a shower, toilet, airco, T.V., telephone, safe-deposit, beachtowel and balcony which offers a view of the sea through the trees.
If desired, you can book an alternative room for an extra charge. You can, for example, book a single room, and/or one of the hotel’s more luxurious rooms. The deluxe rooms are larger than the standard rooms and have a seating area. These rooms also have a balcony with a view of the sea.
The following is a summary of the surcharges per person for the particular periods (note: the periods are not the dates of the retreat), based on an 8-day stay:

Flights
The cost of the flights is not included in the main price of the retreat. You can arrange the flights yourself. Numerous websites exist that offer flights from a wide range of airline companies.
Transfers to/from hotel
If desired, we can arrange for you to be picked up from the airport (Milas). The journey will take approximately 45 minutes. To arrange this transport, you can either:
- reserve the taxi via 2Forward (we will then pass on the information to the hotel);
- make the arrangements yourself by contacting the hotel directly (the hotel’s e-mail address is info@atamihotel.com).
Whichever of these two options you choose, make the arrangements well in advance. If you wish to cancel the transfer, then notify us as soon as possible, or you may be liable for the full cost.
The transfer from the airport to the hotel costs TRL 120 (around €56). This fee is to be paid directly to the taxi driver. If multiple participants wish to be picked up at the same time on the same date, the cost per person will be lower (for example: the fee for ten persons is € 5,60 per person).
Checking in and out
The check-in time for your hotel room is 3:00 p.m.
The check-out time for your hotel room is 11:00 a.m.
Payment
After your registration is confirmed by 2Forward, you will receive an invoice informing you of the instalment due. This will constitute 25% of the total cost of the retreat. This instalment must be paid immediately.
The remaining cost of the retreat must be received no later than eight weeks (56 days) before the commencement date of your retreat.
Cancellation
Cancellation costs
If your booking is cancelled more than eight weeks (56 days) before the commencement date of the retreat, then the initial instalment is retained.
If you cancel your booking between four and eight weeks (28-56 days) before the commencement date of the retreat, then 50% of the total cost of the retreat is due.
If you cancel your booking less than four weeks (28 days) before the commencement date of the retreat, then 100% of the total cost of the retreat is due.
Cancellation must be made in writing via registered post and be accompanied by a valid signature.
Cancellation by 2Forward
2Forward reserves the right to cancel the retreat in the event of an insufficient number of participants or other significant circumstances. In such cases, any fees paid will of course be refunded to you in full.
